About Us

The Parish of Maleny is nestled in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are a diverse community gathering across three centres in Maleny, Montville and Kenilworth.

We acknowledge the Jinibara and Kabi Kabi Nations as the First Peoples of the land on which we gather – land which has never been ceded. We acknowledge their continued connection to country and pay our respects to their Ancestors and Elders past and present.

We express the faith of the Anglican Communion in the Five Marks of Anglican Mission:

1. Witness Christ’s reconciling love for all people
2. Build welcoming, transforming communities of faith
3. Stand in solidarity with the poor and needy
4. Challenge violence, injustice and oppression, and work for peace and reconciliation
5. Protect, care for and renew life on our planet

PROTECTING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE
The Anglican Parish of Maleny is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone, and especially our children.  We strive to maintain the Parish’s Child Protection Risk Management Plan including the screening of the ministry team, volunteer staff and Parish office holders through the Queensland Government’s Blue Card Services.  Kids and teen ministries are conducted in accordance with the Anglican Church’s policies on child protection and safe ministry
