Reading the Gospel of Mark
Saturday December 9, 10am. Experience the Gospel of Mark in it’s entirety! Most of the time when we engage with the Bible at church, we do it episodically. We get small weekly portions from the Lectionary in worship or just selected texts in our faith formation programs. This is helpful for covering a lot of ground across the Bible however, we miss out on fully appreciating the flow, internal logic, and experience of reading one book as a whole. Mark is the shortest of our gospel books and is readable in about an hour and a half! Come along and unpack the gospel with friends. A great way to begin the Year B lectionary reading cycle. Christmas Eve Family Celebration of Readings and Carols!
5pm – St George’s Maleny – 2 Walkers Drive. We tell the Christmas story with plenty of carols and storytelling. An interactive service for all ages. Dress as a character from the Christmas story! Join us for this light hearted celebration. Note: This is a non-communion service.
