In this parish we publicly support LGBTQIA+ people.
Our parish priest Rev’d Deb fully affirms the gifts of LGBTQIA+ persons, and takes appropriate opportunities to preach affirmation.
There are LGBTQIA+ Christians among us serving in various roles, and while we respect there are varying perspectives among our congregations, our parish culture promotes the dignity and flourishing of all people, and commits to the safety of all persons to find sanctuary in which to encounter, explore and grow in their journey with the Sacred.
In this parish, we believe #EveryoneBelongs. We believe diversity builds better community and our St Mary’s congregation are proud supporters and contributors to the Rangebow Festival.
According to current Anglican church law we are unable to marry couples of the same sex, however the blessing of marriages is offered to all civilly married couples.
