St Augustine’s has been an integral part of Palmwoods for nearly 100 years, and in fact was originally the main church in the Sunshine Coast area, covering the area Nambour to Caloundra. A faithful group of 20 or so worship meet every Sunday in the lovely wooden church built in 1925.
We are part of the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland within the worldwide Anglican Communion. Our tradition is firmly in the liberal catholic mould, emphasising the importance of a sacramental liturgy, fine preaching of God’s word, excellent music and a strong sense of social justice. We are an inclusive church and everyone is welcome.
