Taize: Prayer, Song and Silence

Beginning in March, St George’s Anglican Church Maleny will offer a monthly service in the style of Taize.  A Taize service is a time of song, prayers, poetry and silence without preaching, and with a focus relaxing into rest and reflection. Originating with the monks of an ecumenical community in France, contemplative Taize styled gatherings have spread all over the world.  Everyone is welcome at these easy-going services. A simple warm soup supper is offered afterward for anyone who would enjoy it. Taize services will be held 6pm at St George’s on the first Sunday of each month from March. …
