Inspiration Choir
Would you like to sing again, or even for the first time? Come along and join Inspiration Choir. The choir, directed by Kim Kirkman, is a very friendly group open to everyone. No experience necessary. We rehearse on Thursdays between 9.00-10.30am at St George’s Anglican Church, 2 Walkers Drive, Maleny. All learning materials provided. Rehearsals cost $10.
Inspiration Project Choir
Inspiration Project Choir specialise in baroque performance practice. The choir has performed at Woodford Folk Festival to standing ovations, twice. Some experience is required to sing in this choir however there are no auditions. The choir meets weekly at St George’s Anglican Church, 2 Walkers Drive, Maleny on Thursdays from 11.00-12.30pm. Cost is $10 per rehearsal.
Sacred Music Choir
A chamber choir meeting weekly with Kim Kirkman to learn the chants and sacred songs from the Taize and Evensong traditions and performing at services on the first Sunday of the month February to November. You don’t need to read music and it’s free! Come along and join us! Tuesdays 2pm recommencing January 30th. No charge.
Hinterland String Orchestra
Would you like to play violin. Viola, cello or double bass again in a friendly string orchestra? Hinterland String Orchestra, directed by Kim Kirkman play an expansive repertoire, from renaissance through to the latest movie themes – we will play it! All abilities catered for. We regular perform with the Caloundra Community and Inspiration Choirs as well as give our own concerts. We rehearse on Tuesdays between 3.30-4.45pm at the St George’s Anglican Church, 2 Walkers Drive, Maleny. Cost is $10 per rehearsal.
Seeking Accompanists!
We are seeking pianists, harpists, organists or guitarists to enhance the beauty of our Sunday morning gatherings. We can offer a regular teaching space for your music lessons or other rehearsals in exchange for your accompaniment on a Sunday morning.
